Causes:

RECOMMENDED SOLUTIONS

  • Identify and eliminate the moisture source before repainting. Check for leaks, condensation or trapped water in siding or wood.
  • If blisters go down after drying, they may not need removal. If they remain, scrape and sand them until smooth.
  • Clean all surfaces with a mild detergent to remove dirt, oil or chalk.
  • Paint during optimal weather conditions — avoid direct sun, extreme heat or painting right before rain or dew.
  • Always follow recommended dry and cure times before recoating or exposing the surface to moisture.
